Weekly Update February 25th

Good morning!

It's Monday morning, back to work, except we're starting late today because of the rain. Antony and I left at 5:30am,

to take him to Choloma and pick up Sindy. Antony and Natalia start school in a week in San Pedro Sula. Beto starts working for us today, he'll be with the crew unless we need him to drive. Which hopefully, will be often. We've started working, the rain is intermittent, so we work a while, then stop, repeat...After lunch we were able to work without the rain stoppage. Laying block, fixing some little things off of Tammy's "honey do" list.

Tuesday's forecast was partly cloudy with clear skies in the afternoon, and it started raining about 8:00 , you just never

know. The guys are laying block, we're having some teaching moments as the walls between the columns don't always

line up in a straight line when they get above the columns. When they are done with the first-floor walls though, they are

straight!

Wednesday starts off a busy next 8 days. Dr. Dave arrives today and then we're busy showing him the country, going to

4 different locations for adjustments, talking about future plans for medical teams, and hopefully, helping him fall in love

with the country and it's people! The crew will continue to lay block, almost done with raising the south side. Then we have

to extend the columns four feet higher.

Today is Friday, we've been on the go, go go since Doc got here! Showing him around, dinner at La Plaza, traveled to Tela

and stayed with our fellow mission friends at Hope for Tela! What a pretty place! We had some very good conversations

and as always, good food! Their mission owners Rod and Carmen are from Michigan. Rod is a retired culinary teacher and

he cooked supper and breakfast for us, very delicious!! Thank you, Rod, Carmen, Stephan and Vicki, for your hospitality!!

We will be back! After breakfast we headed for La Ceiba, did a little sightseeing before heading to Iglesia el Faro, the

church where we've met Kristal (from Louisiana) and Rueben (from El Salvador) who are pastoring this fairly large church

and school. Doc got started adjusting at 1:00 and by the second person Tammy and I were both in tears because of the immediate relief the patients were feeling!! Praise the Lord!! You almost had to see it to believe it... they were so very thankful!! "my legs are the same length!", "my back feels so much better", "I can move my neck and head"! One after another... by the 4th person I was thinking I should leave the room so I wouldn't cry so much! AMAZING!! What a blessing! In a little over 4 hours Dr. Dave treated 61 patients! After an enjoyable dinner with Kristal and her kids we spent the night

at their house, got up early and were on the road by 5:00am!

Saturday, because of construction traffic (we sat for 1.5 hrs hardly moving) we were a half hour later than planned arriving

at Cofradia. We'd communicated that with pastor Cesar, we just moved the start time back by a half hour and everything

was back on schedule! Jaimy (pastor Cesar's wife) and some of the church ladies made us lunch, a favorite of us all, pastilitos! Yum! They're like a Honduran version of an empanada. Dr. adjusted around 30 people this time including....

some babies! That was interesting to watch and to hear the analysis and the reasoning behind it, fascinating! We were

done around 2:30, loaded up and headed for Tegucigalpa and Darwyn and Ana!

Sunday morning we went to Los Diamontes, a new LL church on the top of a mountain plateau. There eventually will be 2

containers spaced with rafters to make a nice sized church. Currently, their church is small and made out of skids.

Completely functional for prayer and worshipping God!! A very nice service! After a nice lunch with a couple of the local

pastors we went to Picacho Park where there is a statue of Jesus that is somewhere around 100 feet tall! A nice little park

with a lot of people in it on a nice Sunday afternoon! Sandwiches for supper at Darwyn's then some adjustments and off to

bed where I now am catching up on my update!

There are a lot of pictures today, I hope you enjoy them! We had a very rewarding time taking them! It was awesome

watching the reactions of people who felt so much better after their adjustments! From laughing and dancing to crying! It

was just as awesome watching Dr. Dave and Sindy praying for the people who needed it, talking the anxiety down on the

ones that were scared! What an awesome team! I wish you could have witnessed this! God's blessings ran both ways!

More to come next week!

Thankful for you! Blessings, John and Tammy
