Weekly update January 21st

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a blessed week!

We have been busy. I have been with the crew working in San Pedro Sula, repairing soffits, a carport ceiling and some interior ceiling damage. Tammy has been busy at home in Omoa with gardening, refinishing doors, painting and jewelry.

The crew and I have been getting up early, leaving at 5:00 or 5:30am, trying to beat the traffic in San Pedro Sula. Today is Thursday and we've been doing this for 8 days in a row! Up before 5 and back home, if we're lucky, by 6pm. We also got caught in a traffic jam today, after a gang fight where someone was killed. Praying for the young man who lost his life! Emoji We set still for an hour before we found out they might have the road closed all day! And when there's only one main road, that makes for quite the adventure! We did find another way around; on a road I had never been on before, maybe the bumpiest road I've been on, and we've been on a few bumpy roads! So glad I have a pickup! And I also enjoyed the different scenery, exploring if you will, an area where I'd never been!

We've also been busy on the domestic side, helping a couple of the crew move to a new apartment. And trying to help another crew member find a

new apartment! Interesting stuff! I was in an alley last night, looking at a potential house rental, when I met an interesting character, drunk as could

be! A Honduran, born in Seatle, could speak 3 languages. Thankfully one of them was English! And Tammy met a lady (not in the alley), Ellie, a Honduran who lives in Tennessee all but 3 months of the year. She does some mission work, sounds like we're going to help them this Sunday morning, distributing something to some people who live in the trash dump! God is good! He keeps connecting us with like-minded people who just want to help others! Saturday, we found out that Ellie had gone ahead to the trash dump, because it was forecasted to rain Sunday morning, and it did. We didn't get to to help this time, maybe next time!

Sindy and I stopped at the Immigration Office in San Pedro Sula, trying to find out about residency for us. It sounds like that process needs to

start in Tegucigalpa. We'll have to schedule that trip, it takes a while to get there.

Our cash flow is extremely tight, pray that God will provide!

Praying you all have a blessed week! Thankful for you all! John and Tammy
