Happy new year! We pray that you all have had a blessed year in 2023 and that God blesses you in 2024!
This week the crew was supposed to start back to work and they did however... the neighbor and his insistence that he still owns our back lot has reared its ugly head again. I believe I mentioned a few weeks ago in an update that we have to take the paperwork back to the police chief. What I didn't know was he put a stop work order in place too! So we're trying to figure out things for the crew to do while we're waiting for the chief to read the paperwork again. I don't understand why this keeps coming back (extortion maybe), I do understand that it does keep coming back and we have to deal with it! We're having the crew paint, do some repairs, clean, etc. to keep them busy.
While in our Ohio home we have been successful in communicating to a few churches and individuals about our mission and the need for support. All have been supportive and encouraging, some have been active in their support, and we are so very thankful for that! We worked on our house
some too.
We have an opportunity for someone to sponsor a couple of kids for school this year. Antony and Natalia. If I have it straight they need 3,000 limpira's for registration ($120), 3,000 L ($120) for books and 2,150 L($90) per month after that...each...not sure about the months, 8 or 10. I will find out. You can sponsor all or a part, anything will help the family. Send me an email, message or something and I'll fill you in with more details.
The time is flying now as we're trying to get last minute things done before our trip back to Honduras on Tuesday (well maybe more for me, Tammy
has been packed, unpacked, reorganized and repacked for a month it seems like lol, she is an organizer and is good at it)!
Tammy and I have ran out of money, so this year we have to operate on donations, teams and what we can make doing construction projects. Pray for us please! We know God will provide, we just don't know how or when.
Our chiropractor friend Dr. Dave has scheduled his first trip for the end of February. We're all excited about the possibilities and the help for the
people of Honduras that this can bring!! Praise the Lord!!
I'm a little short on subject matter this week. I'll try to do better next week! We are thankful for you all!
