Weekly Update Nov. 5th

Hey there everyone! Praying that you had a great week last week! This week has started off with not too much rain so far. There is a red alert out for

tropical storms this week. I usually keep an eye on the weather in Ohio and Iowa, from what I see, it's getting cold up there! Daughter Sarah reported

some snow last week in Iowa! The older I get, the less I like to be cold... it was 88 degrees here when she told me it was snowing ! That kind of works out for me . We'll be back in Ohio just before Thanksgiving, and back to Honduras in January so we'll get 6-7 weeks of cold...

Since I'm still contemplating the septic tank, we're working on some other items. There is one row of block on the perimeter that needs cut down before we lay it so we're working on that. Then there are some interior walls we can lay up. One of the guys found what we thought was a young coral snake, which may or may not have been poisonous! After I looked it up (because I wanted to know for sure what the rhyme was ), I discovered that it was a kingsnake and not poisonous! The coral snake looks very similar but also has yellow stripes. "Yellow touches red, you're dead". It also sounds like the rhymes aren't always accurate, so be careful with all of them!

We picked up Jerry and Zach at the airport today. It was good to see them! And a neat God story unfolded over the next couple of days. Jerry had

mentioned that he talked briefly with some people who were coming to Honduras on a mission trip. This was Wednesday. On Thursday I received a

message from a lady who wanted to know more about what we were doing in Honduras. She manages and serves at a children's home in San Pedro

Sula. She was interested in what we do or could do for training, jobs, etc. for the children that are transitioning out of their program. I replied, gave her our website address and asked some questions. In the communication process we decided to travel to San Pedro Sula on Friday to meet with them. It

was raining here (a lot! ), we weren't working so off we went! We met a very friendly and passionate couple from Pennsylvania who have made

around 50 trips or more to Honduras to support this mission that they had started back in 1995. We had very similar stories about how we came to

be in Honduras, there was a bond from the start! So, God's hand in this... that started with Zach, he had brought shampoo, toothpaste, etc. over the

ounce limit for carry-on luggage so they threw it away (in Columbus). Then in Atlanta they decided to check his bag. Having the bag checked, delayed Jerry and Zach at the airport in San Pedro Sula. As a result of the delay, Jerry had struck up a conversation with a lady, they exchanged pleasantries for a moment then off went Jerry and Zach. Later, the most that the lady (I believe was Martha) could remember was "HIS hands" on Jerry's shirt front! From there, they passed the information on to Vivian, who was the manager who contacted me! So, a lot of little things had to happed to delay the guys while they waited for luggage, that allowed them to meet another missionary, and things started happening from there! God is so very good! It's

possible they could contact us if they have any construction projects! We could go work, train some of the children while we're working, helping each

other out! All the time!! God is good!

We were also contacted by a couple who wants to build a house with containers (we have experience with that!), and a missionary couple with a

church who may want some work done! Going to be busy meeting people!!

We went to Cofradia today, pastor Cesar's church service, went to lunch with them at what I call an "oasis" in Cofradia! A Christian run restaurant

called Garden Blessings. Very, very nice! A place we will be going back to! And then we left Jerry and Zach to spend 3 days with them!

We have opportunities finding us daily. All we need is prayers, and financing. If you have bunches of money laying around and want to donate to a

great cause, consider Hishandsconstruction.org!! The fields are ripe and ready for harvest! Being God's hands and feet in a third world country is

exciting and rewarding!! God is so very good! I wish all of you could experience what we are!! Some of you have I know, hopefully the rest of you can

too!! Workers' need jobs, training and relationships with Christian brothers and sisters!

Excited for tomorrow!! Blessings to you all! With love and prayers, John and Tammy!!
