Hi everyone! Praying that you had a blessed week!
Back to ICOM for a recap! Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Lexington, Ky! There were a lot of exhibitors, a lot of people
attending, (over 7,000) and a lot of tired feet and lower backs! We had a lot of encouragers, expressing their approval of what we are
trying to accomplish with our mission! We had 22 people sign up for our weekly update, which I was told was really good because
people attending that big of a conference usually don't sign up, they take a card to investigate first. And we had several people
interested in a mission trip! God is good! It will be difficult to put a value on the experience just because when you are building
relationships, and getting your name out there, it may be months before something tangible occurs that we can relate back to
the conference. All in all, I think it was good for us to be there! Next year it is in Atlanta, Ga.... we'll have to pray about that one, it is a 10
hour drive! Today, I would have to say we will do it! Pray about that for us!
I am so thankful for Sindy and for her dedication to us! She is, as we speak, staying at a person's house, who we met at El Faro church
and helped us with the chiropractic team. Thank you, Julissa, for opening your house up to Sindy and Natalia to stay the night! This was
a big help because, with the main bridge in La Ceiba washed out, traffic has to go into town and use another bridge... well, traffic was
bad before, now with the traffic having to detour into town more, the traffic is horrendous! What would normally take 10 minutes to drive
the 20 blocks to the municipal building where Sindy is spending a lot of her time trying to get the permitting process straightened out, it
now takes a couple hours!! And with her having to be back at the municipal building this morning, getting to stay at Julissa's, saved her
4 hours on the road, with a taxi, not only taking a lot of time but also costing too much.... and walking last night after dark, wouldn't have
been the safest thing to do! Praise the Lord for friendships! Julissa has also consented to lead us to the places that will need our help
the most in La Ceiba!
The water is going down after the deluge of rain last weekend! We are trying to find out the best places to go and help, and what help
is needed the most. Some of you have given from your hearts to this effort and we thank you for that! Your gifts will allow us to purchase
food and water and whatever else is needed to help the displaced people! God bless you all!
Today is Thursday, it is raining again, La Ceiba is projected to get another 8" of rain on top of the 40" they just received! That's a lot of
water! And it makes the recovery difficult! Omoa's rain has filled up the yard and another 2" of rain in our house! The crew is digging
a trench to try and drain the water. After the rain stopped this week, they were able to pour some concrete!
Amongst all of the chaos in the world, the shining bright spot is Jesus! Jesus told us to remember, that He has conquered the world!
What a pleasant reminder that the one who loves us the most, is in charge! Praise Jesus!!
Tammy and I want to thank you all for your prayers! We pray that you have a blessed week!
