Hey there everyone! Hope you're doing well!
Thank you for your prayers! Last week we were up in the air about our money transfer. I didn't know what was going on with it
because there was an extra zero in the routing number. My prayers were for someone somewhere to realize that, fix it and send
the money on. As it turned out, Monday afternoon we found out that must have been exactly what happened because the money
had been transferred. No email (except one that said "I'll look into it and let you know") no call, nothing. Thank you, Maria, for your
personal response and prayers, they worked!! Amen!
Monday, we made the trip to La Ceiba, to meet with Najae and discuss her project. We made some changes, answered questions
and had a good meeting. We're going to meet again Thursday to review the changes and talk about signing a contract! Praise the
Lord! It's looking good that we may be chosen to work for her, being God's hands and feet while we're doing what our mission was
formed to do!
Today is Friday. Our electric went out about 2:10 am... I know, it's pretty specific for me saying "about"... I was awake... lol, it finally
came back on around 10:00 am. I didn't get much sleep, my mind was in high gear, maybe a nap later? Or, tuff it out and sleep better
tonight... that sounds good! We didn't get to meet with Najae yesterday, she had meetings with two school principles for her children
to enroll when they move here. I told her I had a lot of meetings with principles too, when I was young...lol... I think back on my youth,
I was a brat! Sindy didn't get much sleep last night either, she was stung twice by a scorpion ! And Beto was stung once! He will bite no more! She's ok, she's just worried about the scorpion's family, I think!
The air here has been very hazy lately. Once I was told that it was just smoke from fires, which people burn all the time, everywhere
so I thought well maybe. Then the more we moved around the country it was everywhere and a lot more than usual! Yesterday, on
one of the face book pages I follow in Honduras; they posted an article about dust coming from the Sahara causing air pollution
problems and that for a few days, weeks, the air quality is going to be bad! I'll show you the screenshot I took, and the area that the
dust is covering. It is a very large area!
We dug out the truck cage to work on it some more. The picture shows some sides and some paint. We're going to add some more
sheet metal, some wood for the seats and there's a door that will swing out and down to act as a ladder to get into the truck! Almost
done!
Tammy started on jewelry again. They're working on a chess set now.
Jerry is coming Wednesday for 2 months! Praying for a safe trip! Nikki and family are coming in about 3 weeks for a week. And it sounds like the first chiropractic team is filling up for the August trip! Big things are happening!
I broke down yesterday and bought a washer and dryer for Tammy and the girls! Under the pretext of: Happy Mother's Day, happy
birthday, happy Father's day, merry Christmas, etc. lol They have to work so hard with washing clothes by hand, they deserve some
modern technology to help make their day easier!
Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there! You are all so very special!
We pray that you all have a great week! That every day you look for ways to honor God! We are so very blessed and are thankful
for all that He does for us!
Blessings, John and Tammy
