Hola! Como esta? Espanol for: Hi, how are you? Another phrase you might need when you come to Honduras with us is:
Donde esta el bano! Where is the bathroom? lol!
We hope that you have had a blessed week! The weather is sure nice! We could use some rain though! Our pond has to be at
least 4 feet low! I've never seen it this bad before!
Tammy and I worked for son Chad at the Honda Indiana plant Sunday... 9 hours on concrete, a lot of that time Tammy was on her
behind painting the parts that were low. We are both really stiff today! And some soreness, this type of work we haven't done for a
while, used different muscles and motions... getting old I guess.
It has been raining in Honduras, it is the rainy season. There is usually lightning which I really enjoy the thunder as it reverberates
off of the mountains! And in La Ceiba, with a metal roof and metal posts, we have to be extra careful when it's lightning! Last year we
were in Honduras during November, it rained almost every day! It is in the tropics; rain is something that you have to expect!
I was able to order materials for La Ceiba project today! Back at it hard! I also sent out a couple quotes today. Hope to hear back on
those soon. We seem to be having trouble with the water system in La Ceiba. It sounds like the pump is losing its prime... we'll have to
look into that. There may be a valve that isn't a good enough quality that is letting some air in.
Tonight, we are going to another local church to share our mission! Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity! We had a good meeting
(I thought) last night. I forgot to count but there were probably 30 people there, listened to our mission, asked some questions... a good
meeting, thank you Jesus! We had some people sign up for the weekly update and 3 people interested in a mission trip! Thank you, Pastor Art and Pastor Jacob!
Sindy mentioned yesterday the sump pump in the cistern outside isn't working properly :(, they have had water in the house the last
two days. Hopefully Beto can get it figured out.
Today is Friday, we're helping the neighbor with their chores then heading to Indiana to help Chad again at the Honda plant there.
We're also meeting with Matt and Farah on Saturday. Then hopefully back home in time for a surprise party for Julie at 1:00!
We had a good meeting today with Matt and family! We also enjoyed some southern Indiana chilli! (I called it goulash :)) We
enjoyed our visit and hope to continue to develop the relationship with them and some southern Indiana churches!
A beautiful sunrise during a little rain the other morning. What a marvelous painter our God is! God is so very good, even in the midst of the turmoil that is going on in the world today! All we have to do is to look for God and we can see His hand in so very many things. We mess stuff up, and He makes lemonade! Praise the Lord for His mercy and grace!!
We are so very grateful for the people God has put in our lives! Thank you all for your prayers and support! We appreciate all of you!
Blessings, John and Tammy
