Weekly Update Feb. 16th

And just like that, February is half over already! As we age, the worldly things mean less and less, and the things of heaven mean

more and more! Are you storing up your treasures in heaven? It's in the Bible... Matthew 6: 19-20 Time is running out fast, Jesus is coming soon! Are you ready!

Happy Monday! We have been shopping for paint; Tammy is going to paint one of the rooms at our place in Omoa. Beto has the bus

at the local mechanics trying to find a short in the air conditioning system. We are waiting to hear if we have the bus rented this

week. And waiting to hear about some of our job quotes, if they get accepted. Someone has a milestone birthday this week on Saturday,

I won't mention names, yet, or age, kind of, it does have something to do with my wife and something to do with six decades.

Party time!

We think that we have approval (maybe more the lack of opposition :)) to start working again on Najae's place in La Ceiba while we're waiting for the permit for the second floor. There are several small items we can do on the first floor... so we're going to get started again! Thank you, Lord!

I went to my follow up Dr's appointment today (Tuesday) at the hospital. Everything is good! Blood tests, x-ray, lungs. Good to go! Dr. wants to see me in 2 weeks before we come back to Ohio. I will still be using the inhaler. And by the way, today was no charge! The first visit last week, with all of the tests and the x-ray, was $26...not bad at all! Beto and Sindy are headed to La Ceiba with the bus. They are picking up 23 people on a mission trip coming from Roatan at the ferry station. I'm not sure but I'm thinking they are from Denmark! They had to leave today because there is too much traffic to try and drive there in the morning. They would have had to leave at 1:00 in the

morning! Might as well stay the night and be refreshed and safe! Update: it is a good thing they went early, had a flat tire on the bus

in La Ceiba last night, it took a while to get changed but back on the road. Looking to buy new front tires today (Wednesday) when they get back to San Pedro Sula.

We were able to confirm the roof replacement project in La Ceiba this morning. Scheduled for March 24 start. Thank you, Tim and Nan! A complete tear-off, new metal rafters to replace the termite eaten wood ones along with everything else new.

Beto and Sindy's bus rental had some extra stops added to their agenda, they ended up staying the night in San Pedro Sula, compliments of the team! They're heading to the airport soon.

After Tuesday night's flat tire, we decided to change all of the bus tires and get new ones. Better to be safe than sorry! No tires to

be found this week of the size we need, maybe next week they said .

I contacted lawyer Annie (it's what I call her, lol) about the status of our affiliation. We haven't heard anything since last July!  I ended up with her partner, Hector, who told us that all of their affiliation requests have been on hold, the government has not approved any for quite a while, he's expecting that maybe next month these will all get resolved. I'm thinking maybe after the midterm elections on March 9 ... maybe...

Tammy is making new seats for the pickup cage. The ones I only put 1 coat of varnish on are trashed! She's epoxying the new ones,

hopefully they will last longer in the rain and humidity here. Beto is still plastering in the compound, making things look good! I'm

working on paperwork. Things are happening.

Happy Valentine's Day! Ashley just showed up to surprise Tammy for her birthday tomorrow! A nice surprise! And then Tammy put

her to work! lol  They are painting. We had several people (14) show up for Tammy's birthday! We had tres leches cake to pass out and Sindy brought her a tiramisu cake! Happy birthday was sung several times!

Today is Sunday, a nice day here, and I'm getting winter advisory warnings for Ohio. Be safe driving today! Tomorrow we're leaving at 4 am, heading to Comayagua to look at a project and then straight (as straight as possible anyway lol) to La Ceiba.

Thank you all for your support and prayers! God bless you! John and Tammy
