Weekly Update Feb. 23rd

Hi everyone! Hope you all are warm and safe!

In case you were interested, it is Wednesday morning at 9:00 am, the sun is shining and it's 80 degrees, feels like 87 degrees.

Umm, yes, I am rubbing that in a little, however, karma is going to get me this Tuesday as we are coming back to Ohio for 2 weeks.

I will probably need a jacket, or two... lol.

Our week has been busy so far! Up at 3 am Monday, drove to Comayagua, almost 5 hrs, looked at a potential project, then drove

to La Ceiba, another 5.5 hrs. Visited several stores looking at prices for ceramic tile, toilets, vanities, etc. Also visited with our potential

cabinet maker for a while. Confirming prices and options. Stopped at the city asking questions about permits (for other projects) and

found out they now want us to get a permit to change a toilet... sometimes... you just need to shake your head and wonder... follow the

money. We are back in Omoa. Tammy and Sindy are working on the remodel room.

Beto is changing our sump pump that went bad, and wiring an outlet in the bedroom Tammy is painting. I'm talking to 5 customers and prospective customers on status, options, permits, prints, etc... I'm also working on the itinerary for our time in Ohio next week and the itinerary for the March 25 trip.

Tomorrow is Friday, back to the hospital for a final checkup with the Dr. on my cough, which has pretty much gone away! Hallelujah!

Then after that appointment we're heading to San Pedro Sula to meet with a prospective customer on possibly renovating their recent

house purchase. Tammy has the bedroom done and ready for the beds to go back in and she's almost done with the new wood seats

for the pickup cage! A few more coats of epoxy and they will be ready!

We had a positive meeting yesterday with Jacob, and their new house in San Pedro Sula. It has been empty for a while, they bought

it last year and it had been empty before that. They have roof leaks, and they have drywall, which in Honduras, if you don't keep proper ventilation, it is hard to keep the moisture away, resulting in tape coming loose and cracking, etc. We are going to meet again next month, to do a more thorough review, get up on the roof, etc. to come up with an estimate of the repair.

Our friends, Brent and Anne from Cornerstone Christian Ranch are having their rodeo next month. I'm hoping we can go for a day

to watch and support them!

Our potential Comayagua project is progressing, their architect is drawing up plans and getting the permit, once I see the plans

I'll put together an estimate and then see if we can get busy there! It's going to be a meeting room and a water tank, 3 stories in the

air, above the house, to provide water when they have large teams, so everyone gets a chance to shower, phew!  Sandy with

the Sunset Playa Beach and Resort is back in Honduras today, Sunday, hopefully we'll get to meet before we leave Tuesday. She has some maintenance needs at their place. Our electric has been out for a couple hours this morning, the internet part is still out, just

another day.

So far, we've received $200 for the elderly lady Maria's house project. Thank you for your heartfelt donations! Still a way to go

to meet our desired budget. God's plan.

We are thankful for your prayers and support. Blessings, John and Tammy
