Hello everyone! Praying that you had a great week!
We were able to meet with a prospective church on Tuesday. Thank you, pastor Dave and pastor Caleb, for taking the time to let us
share our mission and our vision that God has placed on our hearts! We pray that our meeting will grow into a lasting relationship!
We also had a very nice prayer night at our home church, Richwood Church of Christ. Ten of our friends met and listened to an update
and what we needed prayer for. We are very grateful and appreciative of your prayers and support!
Today is Wednesday and we are awaiting our flights back to Honduras! It was 63 degrees here this morning, I expect it to be a little
warmer by the time we arrive there! Delta had told us that Honduras has re-implemented their precheck requirements. At least we
had plenty of time to fill them out while we are waiting! And Honduras didn't ask for them when we got here?? Oh well, we were ready
if they did! And it was 95 degrees when we came out of the airport A safe trip and nice to be back to our second home.
Early Friday morning, up at 4:00am, getting ready to leave for La Ceiba at 5:00. We are meeting with a new, potential supplier of the
kitchen cabinets. We're meeting at his shop around 11:00. Then going over to the work site to check on progress and plan the next
steps.
Yesterday, Sindy, Lourdes and Ashley removed the "ride the wave, Michigan City" logos from the bus. And then we put the new
logos on, just the "hands" part. I'll post some pictures. We left the long blue stripes, thinking we may paint them yellow and black.
We also needed new batteries for the bus, Ebert and I went to Puerto Cortez to a battery supply store and purchased two new ones.
Tammy stocked some items in the bus, readying for the mission team coming on Saturday! Exciting!
Saturday morning! I didn't get any phone calls about the team and their flight from Dallas to Miami! Good news! When I checked on
the American app, they were in flight! Our first big team and our first use of the bus! Can't wait to see if my expectations for the bus come
anywhere close to reality!
What a glorious day the Lord has made! Sunday morning, up early. Breakfast is at 7:00, then around 8:30 we're going to pack meals
to hand out at the dump next Friday! Then lunch at 11:00 and we'll start adjusting people at noon! Looking forward to this! We did a
brief meeting and devotion last night in the gazebo, Doc and I were both impressed at the knowledge the young team has with their
chiropractic skills already! It turns out they have "clubs" at college where they all get together and adjust each other! The way they
coached each other through the different adjustments was impressive! What a team God has put together!! This is going
to be fun and rewarding to watch this week! Praise You Lord!!
The inaugural trip with the bus was awesome! The fact that it is big, allowed us to comfortably set and talk, store the luggage and the
adjusting tables, and after a trip to a grocery store, put all of the rice, beans, flour, cookies, water, etc. that we're going to pack for the
meals! And a special shout out to Beto our driver who did an awesome job navigating the bus through the traffic congestion of San
Pedro Sula! Our schedule changed a little so we had time to stop at the beach in Puerto Cortes to look at the scenery! The team had
time to get in a short soccer match on the beach! Girls against the guys, I'm thinking the girls won 3-2! Then off to the La Plaza
restaurant where we enjoyed the great food (as always) served by the ladies from the children's home!
We are so very grateful for all that God has done for us! And we thank you all for your prayers and support! Until next time...
Blessings, John and Tammy
