Hi everyone! Praying you are all doing well!
Monday the work schedule was changed some. We were busy with some last-minute details before we left for Ohio and I needed Ebert's help in getting the sump pump installed (plumbing and electric) to help when the water level gets too high and wants to run into the house. We were
able to get that all completed! Hopefully now we have safety measures in place to eliminate flooding inside the house!
We are back home in Ohio! Our journey went well, we only had one hiccup! Our flight from Atlanta to Columbus was delayed because the incoming flight with the plane we were using to fly to Columbus was delayed in route. So instead of leaving Atlanta at 10:30ish we were backed off until 11:30ish. This would have put our arrival in Columbus at around 1:00am, getting home then around 2:30am. Soooo, we decided to try for an earlier flight, which we were able to get and arrived in Columbus around 10:45! Our bags didn't make the flight, but they delivered them to us before noon the next day!
This week at home has been busy, reuniting with family and friends, scheduling meetings, catching up to the time change, getting use to our local
allergens (that's a big one!), going through 2.5 months of mail , deciding when we're returning to Honduras, planning a trip to Iowa to see
family... a lot going on! The busier we are the younger we stay right??
Work continues in Omoa. The guys are laying block on the outside perimeter, looks like they'll get done with the walls easily next week! Then on to
phase 2 which is the footings and columns on the inside of the compound. I'll attach a sketch of the footing layout and the first rendition of what the
second floor may look like. Tammy was sent some pictures of Lourdes and Julissa helping lay block! So proud of them for taking the initiative to
want to learn and to try something different!
His hands construction went into Honda Saturday night to earn some money for the cause! Whatever it takes! Photo attached.
Please keep praying for us. There are so very many things to do and I don't want to forget anything! Also, one of our supporters, Barb, she is
recovering from knee replacement surgery last Thursday, please pray for a speedy recovery! We prayed for Lisa last time, recovering from surgery,
she is doing well, still sore and always smiling! Thanks for your prayers for her!
Blessings to all of you! John and Tammy
