Weekly Update June 16th

Hi everyone! Hope and pray that you are all doing well!

We're back in La Ceiba. Part of the crew got right out of the truck and started working, the other part got caught in a teacher's strike... they put tires across the road and light them on fire! The police don't do anything but watch the tires burn out, as a result the traffic is stopped for hours! They're on their way now, should get here around 8:00 tonight! Part of why they were behind us is one of them had some errands to run. While they were still near Puerto Cortez, I asked them to check out a bus we're looking at. They talked to the owner, started it, looked it all over...got a bottom-line price and, the owner seems receptive to financing it for us... so it anyone is interested in helping us make payments, let me know! We are looking at other bus options too, we'll have to see where God leads us in this.

This week the goals are to finish repairing the facia, tear out the rest of the kitchen cement counter and the dividing wall between the

kitchen and the dining room, get the wide flange beams installed in the kitchen and the carport, paint another bedroom, continue to

get the plumbing installed for the upstairs bathrooms, finalize the kitchen counter quotes, get the water in the well tested and clean. A

lot going on! Jerry is busy helping where needed and when not helping he's applying for grants! Thank you, Lord, for the work!

We didn't quite get all of our goals accomplished. There is always something that comes up that is a high priority that takes precedent

over the schedule. This week was again, the water. We were trying to fix the system with the lowest cost since that wasn't part of the

budget. We decided that with all of the issues we were having, to install a system like we have in USA.

We've installed a submersible

water pump, going to put in a pressure tank next week. In the process of this, the well ran dry... so, in His fashion, God sent some

rain which we collected in pails, to use where we needed it! What a blessing! Praise the Lord!

We have finalized two team visits this week!  Thank you Lord! Nikki and some of her family are coming next week,

(actually, this week now) lol! They will be coming Wednesday for 8 days! We have some exciting things planned! And, the first student

chiropractic team trip has been finalized for August! Dr. Dave will be leading 6 young adults and we'll be heading to various locations

on the north side of Honduras! This will be an exciting, rewarding trip! Can't wait!  The people Doc adjusted in February are

all looking forward to his return! With a team coming next week, it will be interesting and challenging to coordinate the team and the

crew working at the same time. With God, all things are possible!  The most challenging part will be supplies that are needed at

the moment, things that I can't plan for. We'll figure it out!

The bus that I've had my eye on for months, that part of the crew stopped and looked at on Monday, is no longer setting where it had been... it has either been sold, they moved it to a new location to get more visibility for a sale or...something else...I guess we'll see. In the meantime, we can keep trying to raise money for a bus, and when we get enough money, we'll see what we can find.  God's timing.

Last week I mentioned I'd take some pictures of the local crops etc. Please remember that the picture never does justice to the object being photographed! There are some gorgeous views here! Some of you farmer friends may notice the corn fields are in two different stages of maturity. That is the case here, with a year-round growing season, it's not uncommon to see corn a foot high next to a field that was just combined! It's also not uncommon to see corn on the side of a mountain! It has to be planted, cared for and harvested by

hand! A lot of very hard work!

Hopefully you guys follow us on facebook and or instagram. Ashley does a neat little video presentation, with still shots and music! If

I could figure out how to attach it here, I would lol.

Praying that we all take time to talk to our Lord daily! He is worthy!

Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there! Praying that you have a blessed day with your family!

Have a blessed week! John and Tammy
