Hi to everyone! Today is Thursday already, finally getting some time to catch up on the update! We made it safely to Ohio on
Tuesday, ahead of hurricane Milton! I was interested in what Delta would do as we flew north into the path of it! I had searched
some about hurricanes and how high the clouds and the winds were etc., and I knew we usually flew at roughly 36,000 feet when
we crossed the gulf. As it turns out the planes can fly above the hurricanes, but they don't for safety reasons. If something were to
happen to the plane and it had to land or descend quickly, they don't want to have to descend into the hurricane, so they fly
around it! We ended up flying over the middle of Cuba and then over Key West and straight north over Floriday! Quite a way east
of where we usually fly, so they knew exactly what to do and how to do it! Thank you, Delta, for a safe flight! Praise the Lord!
We had the pleasure of "chaperoning" Julissa (Suisse) (from the girls' home, now a dentist in Honduras) on her first ever flight
and trip out of Honduras. She was coming to spend 3 weeks with Jeff and Patti! What a treat to watch the wonder on her face as
she experienced the many "firsts" of air travel! She is hooked!
We have had a wonderful time so far seeing and hugging our kids and grandkids (the ones that are close), we will get to Iowa
the last week of the month, first weekend in November to get some hugging in there too! Next will be friends, going to be busy!
I had to take a pickup to the local Ford dealership for some mechanical work, on the way there, I felt led to try and visit with
whomever was in charge of the sponsorships, etc. as I waited. As it turned out I was directed to the owner, Joe. We talked for a while,
he is definitely interested, said he'd been thinking about something like this for the past month... hmmm, our prayers for
the past month: dear Lord, go before us and soften the hearts of the people you are sending our way to help us fund our mission.... and what do you know, the Lord is faithful!! (which I already knew!) We will pray and see how this relationship grows! Thank
you Jesus!!
The crew this week, plastered, drywalled, painted, cleaned... a little bit of everything! I'm still working on future projects. The
momentum is building! Thank you, Lord! I'm also working on our schedule for the rest of this year and for next year. We have a lot
that we want/need to accomplish! If you want to help, please contact us! The harvest is plentiful, and the workers are few! Mathew
9:37 and Luke 10:2
We are so very thankful that we have a loving God who loves us and cares for us so very much!! Please pray for our country and
our world that more and more people would come to have a lasting relationship with Jesus!
Blessings, John and Tammy
