Proverbs 3:6 "Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take."
Greetings to you all! We pray that you have had a good and productive week, and that you have thanked the Lord for all of
the blessings He has given you!! He continues to amaze us with His protection, His guidance and His love for everyone!
We are working hard in finding prices on materials and supplies we may be needing in La Ceiba for our project. We're going there
next Monday, meeting with Najae to finalize the scope of the project. Yesterday we spent all day in San Pedro Sula driving from store
to store, checking prices and availability.
Today is Thursday, yesterday was Honduras' version of Labor Day. Most things were closed. Our crew came up with the nice idea
of exchanging yesterday for Friday! So they can have a 3 day weekend! I told them that's the way our Labor Day is set up, so great
idea! Now Tammy and I are wondering what we're going to do if it's quiet here for 3 days in a row???
I know, catch up on all of my
paperwork that usually has numerous interruptions.
Today is Saturday. Yesterday we didn't go anywhere all day, I didn't even unlock the gate! That is a first! I was able to get the La Ceiba project spreadsheet to a place I'm comfortable with. Now just waiting to meet with Najae on Monday! Now I need to do a few sketches
for the La Paz project. Tammy and I went to the superbarato today to get a few items. On the way I stopped to see if I could get my
haircut. I'd never been to the barbershop, the barber had always come to our place and cut my hair. The barbershop was closed, so we
did our shopping and were on the way home when we met Jairo, the barber, on his motorcycle. It happened at a red light (the only light) we were able to motion to him about cutting my hair, he said yes and followed us home. Using my phone translate app, we found
out he was about ready to open his shop and saw me knocking on the door. He'd already driven to our place to see if we were
there. Talk about service! Feels good to have my haircut lol!!
Our money transfer didn't come yesterday, it's almost always the same day. I called the credit union on Thursday, I didn't get a call back
until Friday which in itself was late. The money left our account Friday morning and still hasn't reached Honduras yet. Something is
going on that usually doesn't. I tried calling, they're closed, so I've emailed, not expecting a reply until Monday. We needed the money
for payroll. We had enough to pay a few, and I have some cash. Frustrating. Fast forward a few minutes, I decided to check the
document to see if I'd made any errors and sure enough, the routing number for the bank here has 1 too many zeros! I assume someone
will figure that out and I either need to do another form, a corrected form, or something. At least it wasn't the wrong account number,
then the money could have gone to someone else and we'd probably been out of luck! Praise the Lord for that! We'll find out Monday
what is going to happen.
Happy Sunday everyone! We hope and pray that as corporate worship happens today that worship is exactly what we do! Forget
about everything else and give praise to our God!
Tomorrow we're on the road early as we head to La Ceiba. Looking forward to getting that project started! We pray for safety during
our trip and that God is glorified in all we do!
Blessings! Thankful for you all! John and Tammy
